Kevin, your 1999 Chevrolet Blazer may have an key controlled starter kill system built into the ignition system. When you replace the ignition switch, it may need to be programmed to the ECU. Our advise is to contact your local Chevrolet dealer and ask them if you need to get your ignition programmed to your ECU. Hope this helps. Good luck with your installation.
I have a 99 chevy blazer that I had to remove the steering column on. After reinstalling, the blazer will not start. It turns over, but the security light remains on and it will not start. Also, the interior lights nor the door bell work. Any suggestions- I have replaced the ignition switch and the harness.
