  1. Mauri, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure ALL of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, double check that your bulb is inserted the correct way. Sometimes the bulb may just be in the wrong way. Pull the bulb out and turn it 180 degrees and re-insert the bulb. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1998 Honda Prelude bulb replacement.

Im trying to hood up license plate light for my 98 honda prelude – I unscrewed the 2 screws, everything was dirty, cleanded it – took out the bad bulb, replaced with a new one… but doesnt work… in addition, i have a black and red wire just out there, im not good with wires, but i do know black = ground, and red is positive… should I hook up the black wire to one of the screws, and thats my groud? what do i do with the red wire…… also it does turn on, how does this plate light know when to turn on or off its it has no other things attached to it? i need help cant be driving around with no plate light.
