  1. I have connected my 1996 Mercedes C280 radio harness matching the colors the radio plays but i get no sound. I ran a wire to a set of speakers outside the car to make sure the radio was working and i got sound to the speaker but through the harness to the car speakers i get no sound what am i missing

  2. Larry, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 1996 Mercedes C280 may have a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. Double check that your 1996 Mercedes C280 amp turn on wire is connected. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1996 Mercedes C280 stereo installation.
