  1. Colby, technically you could connect your amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever the car is on and off whenever your car is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  2. So i am supposed to hook the remote turn on to my amp to the switched 12v+? is it necessary to have a fuse on the remote turn on wire?

  3. Mitzel, technically you could connect your amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire if your car doesn’t have a remote turn on wire. To be safe, an in-line 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire is necessary. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  4. Josh, the car radio constant 12v+ wire is blue/white and the car radio switched 12v+ wire is yellow/red. Hope this helps. Good luck with your radio installation.

  5. Saliu, it sounds like you may have blown out a fuse or two. Double check ALL your fuses and you will probably find a blown fuse somewhere. Sometimes when you short out your radio fuse, other fuses may also blow out. If all your fuses are good then double check your ground wire and make sure it is grounded well or use the chassis to ground the radio. Hope this helps. Good luck with your troubleshooting.

  6. Edube24, it is possible to connect an Apple iPod to your stock radio. Here is the adapter you need:

  7. Hey guys, got a quick question and I hope someone is still keepin a peep and this forum. Haha I have an after market pioneer deck set up into my 1996 Honda Civic EX and I had to wire it in my self. I just spliced the old wires with the coordinating colors for the old deck and everything worked out okay and the deck works, however I have no radio reception.. Cd player works just fine to all speakers but I would like the radio to pick up stations so I can use my transmitter on my ipod. Any advice or solutions would be awesome!

  8. Brandon, it sounds like your antenna wire isn’t plugged into the rear of your 1996 Honda Civic stereo. Double check that your antenna wire is plugged in. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1996 Honda Civic radio installation.
