  1. I have been looking for a stereo wiring diagram for a 1995 Ford Explorer with a JBL Premium Sound System and can’t seem to find one anywhere. The colors of the wires are different than the standard models for the 16-pin harness, so I cannot tell which wire goes to what speaker. anyone?

  2. Nichole, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to disarm the alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to do. Hope this helps. Good luck on your 1995 Ford Explorer alarm troubleshooting.

i have a 1995 ford explorer with a v6 engine, the other day my remote control for it quit working, and sometimes in order for me to be able to crank it, i have to press the unlock button on the remote first, i dont know why that is, but i am wanting to know if anybody else would know why that is, and is there a fuse in the truck anywhere that goes to the remote control??

  4. James, it sounds like you blew a fuse or two. Double check ALL your fuses using a Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1995 Ford Explorer radio troubleshooting.

  5. I got all the wiring setup and connected but my radio wont come on. Nor am I getting any power to my wires when I check them. What could be wrong?

  6. James, you could follow the ant. cable (coaxial not the power wires) from where it enters the cab (passenger side firewall near side panel) to where it goes and connects. thats how I found mine.

  7. Where is the base unit for the JBL system in a 95 Ford Explorer Limited? I am trying to direct connect a Sirius Satellite Radio to it, but I need to know where the antennae connects to it.

  8. just a fyi incase someone asks. the built in amp for a ford explorer 95 is in the rear passenger side just above the wheel under the paneling.

  9. Nick, unfortunately there is no wire harness available to put a stock 1995 Ford Explorer stereo into a 2005 Ford Escape. You will be required to wire it by hand. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1995 Ford Explorer radio installation.

  10. So I have a 1994 ford explorer Eddie bauer edition so it has the 5 speaker jbl audiophile system and am wanting to put in an aftermarket amplifier for the four door speakers. I want to avoid running numerous feet of wire from each door panel to the location of the aftermarket amp. I want to find the amp location and cut the wires and run them as a set to wherever need be but I can find it. Help!

  11. Can you advise what impedance the rear speakers are on a 1995 2 door Expedition? The speaker is labeled F47F 18971 AB. Also any recommendations on a good replacement product are welcome. Thanks.

  12. 1995 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer amp is located near the subwoofer, in the cargo area, passenger side behind the plastic wall!
