  1. I am having trouble getting sound out of my 1986 corvette. I just installed a new deck and there may be a factory amp somewhere in the car. This adds many hours on to what I thought was going to be something quick and painless. Where is the amp located(possibly fried) and what is the easiest way to either replace it or bypass it?

Looking for a radio wiring dia. for an 84 corvette, I am trying to install an after market radio with a CD player. Need help

  3. I have a 1986 corvette with the ‘bose’ systtem, i am trying to install a Pioneer radio, i have purchased the installation (wire) and still cannot get the radio to work.. is there a pre-amp in the system, or something??. I have connected the radion to external speakers and all works! Could you please help….

  4. Neil, technically you could connect your 1986 Chevrolet Corvette amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 1986 Chevrolet Corvette is on and off whenever your 1986 Chevrolet Corvette is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  5. the guide is great but the car has factory amps,I am wondering if i could use these or is there a way to use the speakers without rewiring them. i am using an alpine cd player what do you think . i have been researching the radio there is a speaker relay that calls the speakers on.so i am wondering if there is a factory remote wire that can be used. hope you can help me thanks
