    D, it would be a lot easier just replacing the entire DVD and audio system with an aftermarket one. It would be nearly impossible to control your factory DVD system with an aftermarket stereo. If it were even possible, the wiring involved and the programming would be insanely complicated. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2001 Infiniti I30 stereo installation.

    I hooked up a sony xplod cd player in my 1991 Infiniti Q45 and when i hook my phone to it for music the driver side front speaker wont work.but it works when its on the cd or radio but not when its on AUX.Can some one please help its driveing me crazy.

    Steve, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 1991 Infiniti Q45 may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. Hope this points you in the right direction.     I have a 2001 Infiniti G20t and i am trying to put a new stereo in it however when I got the harness it said that all colors match and I have a solid blue antenna wire and two orange wires one solid and the other has a black strip i read these are dimming lights, but i do not know where to connect them. Can anyone help?

    hi i have a 2008 infiniti g37s coupe with the premium bose system. i want to keep the bose head unit but bypass the amp to add after market amps, subs and better speakers. what do i need to bypass the amps? can i use a high low converter? and if so what would you suggest? Thanks
