because my stock scion radio has no sub outs. is there any actual alternative to installing an amp and subs to stock radio. because i like my radio more than an after market radio. believe it or not.
Eric, the best way to keep the stock radio in your 2006 Scion xB but increase the sound quality of your audio system is to install high quality speakers that handle more power. The front door speakers and rear panel speakers in your 2006 Scion xB can fit most 5-1/4″ speakers as long as the depth of the speaker is within spec.

I am looking for wire harness/wiring chart for a 2006 Scion xB RS3.0. This comes with the 2 monitors one each head rest, comes with alpine radio that plays dvd’s also, and 6 speakers from alpine in it. The Radio stopped reading cd’s and DVD’s so now kids can’t watch movies in back, wanting to put a new double din in the dash, that will hook up also with the back monitors. I have installed car audio before, just when pulled out the radio there was 6 harness’s plugged into the radio compared to just 2 of a normal xB. I Don’t mind if it’s same picture on front as back, and Don’t need to have the dual sound modes either. hopefully you can help out with this matter.. Much Appreciated. with it being a RS they only made 2200 worldwide this way for this year, i am sure same harness works for some of 08 and above models also, as those rs models had alpine setups compared to a Pioneer factory setup in them also. Hopefully I have included enough information for you. And also when letting ppl know about speaker upgrades don’t forget about the 4″ that goes into the dash spot.
