What are speaker wire colors to dash speakers? are they connected to speakers in the front doors? I’m installing components would like to know if I can install crossover in the door panels and catch all speaker wires there? anyone?
David, yes you can. Simply wire the factory speaker wire leads inside the doors to the crossover input and wire up the components to the corresponding outputs on the crossover. Just make sure you protect your speaker crossover from water or rain that may seep into the door by covering it with something. Hope this helps. Moe, you would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:
2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter
When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you install a line out converter, your rear speakers will still work properly. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer.
