Im trying to install amn Amp in my car but i cant find my Amp turn on wire i dont have a blue/black wire wtich wire would it be then.
Omar,
The availability of the blue/black wire is dependent on your audio system. Technically, you could connect your remote turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire (orange). That way your amplifier is on whenever the car is on and off your amplifier when your car is off. Just make sure to run an in-line 1-amp fuse on the amp turn on wire.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.
i wanna set up an amp and subs, but since there is no RCA for the stock head unit, what should i do instead??
Kodi, yes you can hook up an amp and subs but it will take a little mobile installation experience. To use your stock radio you will require a line out converter. This device takes two speaker wires and converts them to RCA outputs so you can provide an audio signal to your amp. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:
Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter
If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck.
I want to install 2 12″ memphis subs and an 800 watt amp to my 2003 mazda 6 but i want to use the stock head unit what kind of adapter or what do i need to do this???
Thanks, Landon
Landon, most late model vehicles do not have rca outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:
