  1. attemting to install a pioneer 5100UB in a 2002 eclipse with infinity system…have power and all that get no sound…is there a harness i’m mising…

  2. Jayme, your 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier. Unfortunately, we do not have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  3. im having the same problem as jayme miller (exact problem) what is and how do i turn on the “factory amplifier” cause im no pro at installing anything on a car all i know is the there are many hookups left to hook up to the cd player, i have the wire harnes and everything else but NO SOUND ugh…PLEASE HELP i dont want to spend any more money..

  4. can you hook up a 1200 watt amp that will feed into a subwoofer to the factory installed radio deck in a 2002 mitsubishi eclipse gt with the 4 disc changer

  5. Joe, yes you can. Most late model vehicles do not have RCA outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse amplifier installation.
