Xenu, we’re glad we could help you with your car stereo wiring diagram needs.
Thanks for this site. My daughter’s buddy took the OEM sterio out, cut wires and didn’t label anything. This is a life saver.
David, we are glad we could help you with your car radio wiring diagram needs.
I removed factory stereo, I then connected premium sound harness to that in car. Then I connected red yellow and black wires from after market stereo to the new harness. The only speaker wires from new harness were 2 sets of red and whites.I plugged those marked front to those marked front coming out of new stereo, then plugged those marked rear speakers into back of new stereo. Stereo turns on works fine but no sound. Any ideas, do I need something else to hook to built in amp or need to dis connect it and install new amp?
Rich, your 1997 Toyota Camry may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier. Unfortunately, we do not have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this helps. Good luck.
