Hello,
thank you for the very helpful wiring diagram. After installing the deck, everything works fine except the deck resets itself after ignition is turned off and on. The p-cont wire is not connected to anything. do you think you can give me a tip on what is going on? Thanks
Mike, you may have mixed up the battery constant and accessory switched wires. The battery constant always sends power to the radio to save your radio stations and other audio settings. The accessory switched wire sends power to your radio only when the key is in the ignition. Check your wiring and make sure the correct radio wires are hooked up to the correct wires on your factory harness. Hope this helps.
Hello,
Thanks for the info. I am trying to hook up a Pioneer DEH-p6000 in my 94 accord. The radio plays just fine, but the display is too dim to see during the day. I have an extra orange “dash/illumination” wire off the aftermarket Honda plug, but there is no corresponding wire on the Pioneer harness. Wondering if this needs to be wired in to something else so that I might be able to see the display.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Hello,
I have a question that I just cant figure out. Can you tell what size fuse is used on the radio circuit, I believe its a 12volt or 15volt but I’m not 100% sure. I’m planning on installing a Alpine KTP-445 power pack and it requires a 15volt A fuse, or otherwise I would have to install a separate power & ground wire, which I really want to avoid. Thanks!
