  1. Hi, i have a 2011 gmc sierra 1500 WT model ext cab and was wondering if a remote starter and keyless entry would work in my truck. thanks, Trevor.

  2. I have a 2011 GMC Sierra. I am unable to get it to turn over. I am using a 556uw imobilizer that seems to be working. The pink/black wire at the ignition switch I found goes through a sequence of 12volts as the key is inserted to 0 volts at radio on to 4volts when blower fan comes on and remains at 4volts in the crank position. Connecting a second accessory wire and starter wire will only achieve this through a series of relays and resistors. I assume only the crank position is important for remote start. If only the crank position is important then I will need a resistor in my second starter wire to bring it down to 4volts. I am told there is a resistor in the 2011 sierra ignition switch. Can anyone tell me if a resistor is what I need for the start wire only and what the size of the resistor should be? Thanks Kelly.
