  1. Hello. I just purchased a new 2011 Ford Ranger Sport and have the satellite radio with CD. Are there any schematics for the wiring for this stereo and is the stock radio made by Pioneer? That is if this is the one by Pioneer. Anyone? Thanks.

  2. John, most late model vehicles do not have RCA outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier so you would have to install a RCA Line Out Converter to supply an audio output. When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. As for your amplifier turn on wire, you could hook up a switch to the constant power wire but if you forget to shut it off, it will drain your battery. We suggest you connect your 2010 Ford Ranger amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2010 Ford Ranger is on and off whenever your 2010 Ford Ranger is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2010 Ford Ranger amplifier install. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2010 Ford Ranger amplifier installation.

  3. Howdy i have a 2010 ford ranger extended cab. i just put two 10 inch subs in the back and now i need to hook up my amp. i was wondering do i need a line out converter? and which wire do i want to hook up to for my turn on wire to my amp? i dont want it always on. im thinkin i might hook it to the constant power then put a switch on it. just was wondering what you thought
