The 12v accessory switch does not have power in my 2008 Mercury Mariner. Do u know why? Is there another source I could tap into for the remote on the amp??

Shelby, locate the ignition switch harness in the steering column and use the violet/green wire for your amplifier remote turn-on. This wire will provide you with a switched power source. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2008 Mercury Mariner is on and off whenever your 2008 Mercury Mariner is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2008 Mercury Mariner stereo installation.
