James, use the brown/yellow wire in the harness located under the driver door sill for the reverse lights. Also, use the violet/orange wire at the PCM module on the passenger side of the firewall under the hood. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2008 Ford Ranger navigation installation.

Bo, technically you could connect your 2008 Ford Ranger amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2008 Ford Ranger is on and off whenever your 2008 Ford Ranger is off.
