  1. hi, i want to buy a 2007 vw rabbit and it doesn’t have a 6 cd radio. Do i need to buy the 6 cd mp3 radio to have the aux port in the glove box? Does the 6cd radio have a better quality sound ?

  2. Hello. I have a 2006 VW Rabbit. Removed Battery to install After market radio. Never was able to power it on. Reinstalled Factory Radio won’t power up either. Checked fuses F18 F19. They are fine. Any thoughts anybody? Thanks.

  3. Clint, it sounds like your car radio may be anti-theft mode. Most late model cars have radios that don’t power up after the constant battery power to it is interrupted. This is an anti-theft feature in case someone steals your radio. Our advice is to have your local Volkswagen dealer take a look at your radio. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  4. I have a 2007 rabbit, after disconnecting the battery for a while the radio does not power up, no light or anything

  5. Richard, it sounds like you don’t have your accessory switched 12v+ wire hooked up correctly. Make sure you hook up your accessory switched wire to a source that turns completely off when your key is removed from the ignition. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  6. i just got a 97 vw golf and i put a radio but it does not turn off when i turn the car off and take out the key ..is it supose to be like that or is there any way to bypass this …its hooked up correctly with the wire harness …..please help

  7. David, technically you could connect your 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit amplifier turn on wire to the switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit is on and off whenever your 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  8. I am installing my amp and subs into my car and I have everything hooked up except for the remote wire do you guys know which wire in the stock headunit is the remote wire?

  9. Rob, it sounds like your radio might be in anti-theft protect mode. You may require an unlock code to get your radio out of standby mode. If you don’t have the unlock code, you may have to get it from the Volkswagen dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  10. hetyi have an old golf 92 model. there is a red wire, black, blue, grey and brown. on my tape/radio there is a red wire, orange wire and black wire. to get any power on my radio i have toc onnect the red-red, black from the car to the orange on the radio and the brown from the car to the black on the radio – but still it does not turn on – just stand by display – please help.
