  1. I’m trying to put in an aftermarket stereo in my saturn. I had it all working with subs and an amp but when i went to put it back in the dash, the stereo turned off. Now im not getting power to my orange wire. However, i am getting power to my yellow wire when i turn the key. I checked all the fuses and even ran a wire from my positive post under the hood straight to the orange wire and it still doesnt work. please help.

    thanks
    Craig

  2. Craig, when you put your radio back into the dash, you may have ground out a wire and shorted out your head unit. Have an authorized mobile audio repair center take a look at your radio and diagnose the problem. Rule of thumb.. never install your radio while its powered. Hope this helps.

  3. My 2007 saturn ion radio does not work. At first it depicted text but had no volume, but now it doesn’t work at all. It is receiving power due to the fact that the clock appears or it says “no disc inserted” if I press the appropriate buttons, but the radio/cd player is not functional. I checked all three fuses but they appear fine. I looked behind the head unit, and everything appears alright. I did not tamper with the radio prior to the problem.

  4. i have a 2007 saturn ion and the radio dont turn on at all. i checked all fuses the wireing harness in the back of the cd player all are fine and the radio still doesnt turn on. i cant figure the problem out what so ever and its starting to make me go nuts. anyone?

  5. Shane, double check ALL your fuses using an Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, we suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer or mechanic and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Saturn Ion stereo troubleshooting.
