  1. I’m trying to figure out which wire to i need to cut to hook up an fm modulator to rca jack so I can play my ipod. so basically i need to know which wire is considered to be the hot wire on a 2007 mazda 6.

  2. Mark, use the car radio accessory switched 12+ wire (white/red) to power your FM modulator. That way the FM modulator is only on when your ignition is in the on position. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  3. Hi, looking for a 2008 mazda 6 wiring diagram with stock bose head unit.

I have this so far: Right rear= white/blue and black/blue, Left rear= pink and purple

    thanks

  4. Tammy, yes you can add an amplifer to your 2007 mazda 6 but it does take some audio installation know how. If you’ve never installed any mobile electronics we suggest you take your car to a qualified audio installer and have them install it. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Currently looking at adding an amplifier and subwoofer box to my car, so I just have a few questions. First, is their a RCA audio output on the back of the factory unit? I’m not sure what brand of stereo I have, as I have not removed it from the dash yet. Also, can I run an amplifier with an iPod adapter? Thank you for your time ModifiedLife.

  6. Michael, most late model vehicles do not have rca outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. As for the Apple iPod integration, yes you can install an iPod adapter with an aftermarket amplifier. Here is the adapter you will need:

  7. is this wiring diagram for the non-bose or for the bose stereo? also, my 2007 mazda 6 has 2 tweeters in the front what are the wire colors for those 2?

  8. Hi, I have 2007 Mazda 6 (luxury) with Automatic transmission. I would like to connect My Samsung galaxy S2. I guess there is no possibility to do it by the phone data jack so I would like to do it from the 3.5″ speaker jack. Do you have the model no. of the audio system or the scheme of the CD changer jack. I will to make some short in the ping that will simulate the radio Auxiliary mode (Media button). (i don’t want to purchase the ready ones – they are very expensive for no reason…). Regards, Nir.

  9. Niro, we suggest you purchase an automotive auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any Apple iPod, mp3 player or portable music player into your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the bluetooth transmitter you will need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Mazda 6 bluetooth transmitter installation.
