  1. which wire do I tap behind the radio for the remote wire to an after market amp. I will be leaving the Bose amp untouched.

  2. Ctrlz, technically you could connect your amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever the car is on and off whenever your car is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  3. New Chevy Radios use data communication wires thru the computer to control the power on and off of the
radio. The 12v wire to your radio is CONSTANT! That means even though your car is off and you are unable
to turn on radio, there is still 12vs present at that wire. Don’t Believe me? Hook a test light to it, ground the point
and turn off key and open drivers door. You will find power still at the wire. If you hook to this wire for your remote amp turn on, your amp will run constantly. You need an oem piggy back harness model GM1416 by PAC.
Simple plugin install. Blue skies n safe dives! Pilot.

  4. I have a 2007 2500 hd durmax with code u2k . The passinger speak qiut some time ago with sometimes hitting a bump would turn on. Now the drivers speak quit. After taking the dash and lower panel off they would come back on but after shutting the truck off for awhile they would stop working again. I can’t seem to find the amp if it has one as maybe the connectors came loose? The tweeters are still working and the chimes aren’t working either. I could use some help finding a bad connector or Amp?
