  1. Scott, wire up the RCA Line Out Converter to the rear speaker wires at the speaker to get a full range audio source. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado amplifier and subwoofer installation.

  2. I have a 2007 chevrolet silverado and I have purchased a amp and subwoofer enclosure. I also purchased a line level converter…which wire behind the factory radio would I tap into?

  3. Mike, run a primary wire to your steering column and tap the orange wire in your ignition switch harness. This orange wire will provide you with a switched power. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

  4. I am trying to install a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 head unit after the factory harness got chopped off. i have every wire connected but the ignition wire. i was told that i could run a wire to the fuse box, but where would i connect it?

  5. Penny, it would require extensive wiring and do not advise you to install a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali navigation into a 2007 Chevrolet Extended Cab. Hope this helps. Good luck with your navigation installation.

  6. Hi, I totaled my 2005 GMC Yukon Denali XL and am wanting to put the nav stereo into my husbands 2007 Chevy ext cab pu. Will these just plug n play or will there be exstensive rewiring?

  8. Wowzers.Working on replacing all the speakers in a 2007 chevrolet Silverado classc extended. No bose sound system. What speakers r in the front? I see tweets but no one is calling for them. If there r tweets. Are they wired in series with the 6 1/2s? Can’t figure it out:( And the rears r calling for 4 by 6?

  9. Would i have to remove the door panel on my 2007 Cheverolet silverado 2500hd to install a speaker? There is a wire mesh covering the speaker and it looks like it will pop out.. Dont wanna mess it up, just asking. anyone know? Thanks

  10. 2007 chevrolet silverado it has onstar stuff but i don’t use it. I want to replace the stock radio with a sony cd player I have the dash kit. Can i use the regular radio harness or do I need to use the onstar one? Anyone know?

  11. Same problem as Bob and John. I also think it must be loose connection. Is there an easy way to get to connections to inspect? Anyone?

  12. Sal, when splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you install a line out converter, your rear speakers will still work properly. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 chevrolet silverado 1500 rca converter installation.

  13. To install a rca converter on a 2007 chevrolet silverado 1500. do I tap in to the back speakers or do I do it at the head unit?

  14. i noticed you gave a basic fl,fr,rl,rr, etc. but i think we all know that a 07 silverado has a lan hub that feeds the radio for the onstar and since the onstar reports seatbelts air bag deployment and open door/door lock positions to onstar via the radio the recomended procedure is to buy a very expensive wire harness to retain either all options or no onstar but keep factory warning intact so little annoying lights dont pop up all the time.

now more to my point, i dont want onstar i dont use it, but i dont want warning lights either. can you give me a schematic that would also show taps to keep these signals intact? i have a 07 silverado WT new body style 4.3l engine. i am installing a kenwood KDC-MP345U headunit. thanks.

  15. I’m having the same problem as Bob, I have a 2008 crew cab 1500, but the left front in the door stops working for a few days, then starts again. I’m assuming that a connection to the speaker is loose, or a wire is broken. is this a common problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks John

  16. I have a 2007 Silverado Crew Cab 1500. The radio is stock and it works like it should sometimes. Then it will only work on the back speakers for a long period of time then go backing to working right again for a little while. Then back to just working on the back speaker’s again. Do you have any idea’s on what might be causing this problem? I can’t find any info on how to remove the radio from the dash. Thank you for your help in advance, Bob

  17. Ryan, most late model vehicles do not have rca outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  18. Just notice that the only speakers that are working are the tweets near the windshield and the left front speaker. Is there a factory amp that is external from the radio? I have the steering controls, cd player and onstar. There have been no modifications to this truck sound system.

  19. I want to hook up a subwoofer with a mono sub amp to the factory stereo and I was wondering if the 2007 factory radio has any pre-outs? If not, which wires can I use?

    Thanks

  20. hey i have a 2007 chevy silverado 1500 and im about to install an aftermarket stereo but i want to keep the delay of the radio staying on untill i open the driver door, which wire should i connect the power wire to. thanks

  21. Hector, first try swapping the faulty speaker with a good speaker. If you still have a problem with the speaker output after the swap, then you may have a problem with the stock radio. If this is the case, you can try hooking up a speaker directly to the wires on the back of the radio that correspond with the faulty speaker. If you still don’t have audio output, you may have a problem with the factory amplifier. At this point, you may have to get an experienced audio installer to troubleshoot your system or you may have to replace the amplifier. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  22. My friend’s 5.3L 2007 chevy silverado is having some audio issue. All OEM audio system. Tweeter work but the main front and back speakers suddenly don’t work. I searched for recalls but none for this issue. I checked the fuses and they are not blown. My next step is to is to check the factory stereo’s harness connections but I think it will be easier to pull off the driver door panel and troubleshoot by swapping the, OEM driver front speaker, with a known working speaker. Do you have any suggestions before I spend some time doing it my way?

  23. Rick, you will require a harness adapter or you will have to splice into the factory harness with your aftermarket radio harness. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  24. Hello, My truck has a radio with no cd player. I was wondering if I installed a factory radio with cd, do I need a differrent harness or is it a plug and play?
    Thank you.

  25. On the 2007 Silverado, do you have any suggestions where to hook the power wire in at the fuse panel. I believe some of the older models actually had extra posts at the panel to hook up accessories. Does the 2007 have these? Tanks for your help.

  26. Seth, as far as we know it would require extensive re-wiring to get the stock steering wheel controls to work with an aftermarket radio. If you’re not an expert car audio installer, your best bet is to get an after market radio that comes with steering wheel controls of its own. Hope this helps. Good luck.
