My 2006 Satrun Vue car stereo system is all lit up as if it is working…I can see the radio stations, get the right messages when I load a CD, but nothing comes out of the speakers. Any ideas?
Curious in Florida, your 2006 Saturn Vue has a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on. By turning this amplifier on, your audio system will produce sound from your car speakers. Double check that you hooked up the amp trigger wire correctly. Hope this helps. Good luck.
I have the plug in for my IPod in my Vue but when I plug my pod in I am missing part of the sound. You can hear some of the music, but the base seems to be missing. I thought I blew the speakers, but they sound okay when I play the radio. Is there a short in the plug in and if so. how do I fix it?
Miss My Pod, make sure the audio jack that you’re using to connect your ipod to your Vue is high quality. Many people complain of the audio quality and its usually because the audio jack is of poor quality. Hope this helps. Good luck.
I have an Alpine Deck to install into my 2006 Saturn Vue. I’ve purchased the wiring harness, antenna connection and dash kit. I am debating whether to have it installed professionally or myself. I think I may be able to do it myself. Questions: 1. How hard is it to remove the dash trim? 2. For connecting the wiring harness, is it complicated? Is it just plug and play or will I have to cut and connect wires myself? 3. Any other hidden things I might forget. Thanks
Dear Sir, I had to charge the battery of my 2006 Saturn Vue, now the stereo will not turn on, I need the 6 digit code to start radio again so it works. Please help. Thank you, Rhonda Garibay
Rhonda, its sounds like your 2006 Saturn Vue radio may be in safe mode or anti-theft mode. You will need a unlock code to get your radio working again. Radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Saturn dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck with unlocking your 2006 Saturn Vue radio.
I recently had my battery die and when I had it jump started, my stereo stopped working. I thought it was the fuse, so I replaced the fuse. My stereo still does not work. NOthing lights up on my stereo, not even the time when I push that little “i”. Everything else on the console works fine except my stereo. Any help of what else I should check would greatly be appreciated.
Frustrated, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 2006 Saturn Vue stereo or factory amplifier may be faulty. We suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Saturn Vue radio troubleshooting.
I have been having stereo issues for a month or so. My car died 3 times. I was able to jump start the battery with no issue twice. The 3rd time, the stereo speakers died. Friends were going to replace the entire stereo for me, but blew a fuse and the whole stereo went dark. I then replaced the battery and the stereo worked again. Yesterday I had to have the car jumped due to a loose connection on the positive post — both posts connections were tightened and I lost sound from the stereo. Just now, someone disconnected the negative, reconnected it and now I have sound again. Any thoughts?
I changed my 2006 saturn vue battery and now the radio does not work. Not only does it not work the fuse blows every time. Anyone know why this is happening?
