  1. I also like the look of the factory stereo but would like to be able to play my phone or iPod through the stereo using a 3.5mm plug (I hate wireless FM transmitters). Can you help with what I would need? Thanks!

  2. Kirk, most late model vehicles do not have RCA outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Pontiac Torrent amplifier installation.

  3. wondering if the stereo system has a sub out on the back so i dont have to tear it apart to find out. i like the look of the factory stereo and think a replacement would look a little off. hoping to get my subs and amp in soon, thanks in advance ,kirk
