Im installing an amp to my factory stereo and cant find a 12 volt source that turns off with the ignition. Im tying into the factory amp, but the wires on the amp are constant 12 volt. Trying to avoid running a remote wire from the front of the vehicle. It is a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Thanks
Aaron, in the long run, it would be easiest to run a remote wire from the front of the vehicle. This will also prevent you from interfering with any other factory wiring. Hope this helps. Good luck.
I had my 2006 jeep gd cherokee detailed and now my volume on my radio does not work? I tried another radio and it still does not work. Must be a pinched wire or something not connected? Thank you the detailer is no help!
Steve, it would be hard to figure out exactly what is wrong over the internet. It may be a short in the audio system or your radio/amplifier may be faulty. We suggest that you take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer and have them troubleshoot the problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your radio problem.
There is no switched power in the factory car stereo wiring harness. I’ve read just to connect it to another switched power source, but it never says which wire. I’ve done it before in other cars, just want some input for this truck. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

On my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee.. trying to identify the correct connector where the VSS out wire is on the PCM. I see a reply posted that it is the “black/green plug”? I have four plugs, all are just black. Am I missing something? What do you mean by black/green?
