  1. Just had an aftermarket stereo installed in 2006 Ford focus and now the cruise control doesn’t work. Any ideas?

  2. put in aftermarket radio to 2006 Ford Focus zx4 yesterday and the CD player, AUX, and USB work fine, but the radio is barely audible at the highest level of volume. I noticed in the factory wiring 2 white/black wires. Tried adding it to the white/black to aftermarket wiring left front positive speaker connection. no help. Any ideas?

  3. my 2006 focus has a stock amp and sub in the trunk and I replaced the sub with a different one, but I lost the plug that goes from the stock amp to the subwoofer. Can anyone tell me what pins i need to hook up to the new subwoofer?

  4. Jarrod W. Simmons

on your schematic for the 2006 focus, the constant and the accesory wire colors are reversed. I tested with wire probe. just letting you know. Thanks for your help. saved me time anyways

  5. Jos, radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Ford dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck with unlocking your 2000 Ford Focus radio.

  6. changed the car battery in my 2000 ford focus and now need a code for the stereo, where can i get this code?

  7. Daniel Sleight

is there a mute wire on this stereo, so the stereo mutes when using an external bluetooth phone kit?

  8. Glen, it may not be as straight forward as pressing the AUX button and inputting your MP3 player into an AUX source. Most late model vehicles require a module or special wiring to enable your factory radio to receive an audio source from a MP3 player. Also, most factory radios don’t have an external AUX input. Your best bet is to check with your dealer if it is possible to just input an audio source before proceeding. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  9. Are there any pins on the back of the Focus stereo that are left & right + & – aux input connections? I need to wire a 3.5mm audio jack to my stereo so I can plug my mp3 player in, and use with the aux button on the face of the stereo.

  10. i recently had to replace my stereo in my focus your color code diagram was very helpful i have a few modifications i discovered that i’d like to add

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: orange/black (the bigger one)
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: yellow/green
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): gray/purple

  11. Vincent, we don’t have the specific information your looking for to bypass the ignition sensor but if all you need is a power source that is not regulated by the ignition sensor, you should be able to just run a power wire to your radio from another source (like the fuse box or ignition switch harness). Hope this helps. Good luck.

  12. have a 2006 ford focus zx4 and had to change my ignition relay sensor due to car being vandalized. Unfortunately realized that the radio gets a signal from the original sensor to operate. I can turn on the vehicle but have no radio or CD to listen to. Is there any way to bypass the signal that blocks radio play by cutting a wire at the radio connection harness? Wire color would be appreciated
