Mohammed, thanks for the car stereo speaker size contribution!
6×9’s are standard for all dodge magnum trim packages, for all locations.
There are also 2 identical ground wires, and 2 identical power wires
And if you dont want to deal with running wiring to the fuse box, simply run the switched power wire from your stereo to the RED/ORANGE wire that connects to the wiring harness for your cig. lighter.
Nash, thanks for the Dodge Magnum speaker size and wiring information contribution!
What wire do I hook my amplifier up to on a stock stereo in a n 06 dodge magnum?
Chris, technically you could connect your 2006 Dodge Magnum amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2006 Dodge Magnum is on and off whenever your 2006 Dodge Magnum is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
I have a 2006 Dodge Magnum .The radio is very staticy when the car exterior
is hot . I gets better reception once I run the air conditioner for a while .
I have a 06 SRT8 and do not have these colored wires in the deck harness. Do they change from the deck to the speaker someplace in their travels? I am trying to connect the remainder of speakers to my in-line amp converter.
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Gray/Violet
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray/Yellow
If you check out that fuse block in the back- there is a fused circuit in series with the stereo and other dash components that stays hot contingent on the front doors being closed. If you use a mini fuse tap to accessorize this circuit for amp remote sense power you will have amp and stereo operations until one of the front doors are opened. (Pretty Cool) What I have done is also used this 12V line out for running four cooling fans, used as four mounting stands under my 1200W amplifier that pushes a 12″ W7 JL Audio Sub. Which by the way fits perfectly in the back of my Magnum (room to spare) in JL’s high output competition box!! Not Soliciting for JL here but, MAN!!! It’s LOUD!!! There is something to say about the physical dimensions of a Magnum when it comes to the LOW resonant frequencies generated from a subwoofer!! Ever notice what happens when you roll the back windows down when your driving any faster than 45MPH? THUNDERCLAPS start to resonate in the cab due to the physical characteristics of the car.
i have a 2006 mag and ive been told i can install speakers up top on the dash and that theres a wire there also. can anyone help? dont want to tear up dash but would be nice to have tweets up top bass below. thanks for your help.
