Where would you recommend running a remote wire for a amplifier? This is for a 2006 Cadillac STS-V. “switched 12volt”. Thanks

Jimmy, technically you could connect your 2006 Cadillac STS-V amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2006 Cadillac STS-V is on and off whenever your 2006 Cadillac STS-V is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier install.

I have a 2006 STS with the premium sound and navigation package. I would like to hook up an amplifier for a couple woofers. As far as the RCA outputs for the amplifier go, how would you go about that? I assume there is none. I had a Tahoe before and to keep the stock deck, I had connected an RCA adapter to the positive and negative wires for the rear speakers (rear speakers had the most bass output). But with the premium sound, there are 15 speakers in my STS, therefore I would assume there are far more wires than listed in this diagram. Which wires would you connect the RCA adapter to? Or is there another option available? Thank You.

Nolan, you would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, use the right rear or left rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Cadillac STS amplifier installation.
