  1. I am trying to install a aftermarket stereo in my 1992 325i and can not get the speakers to work someone had told me these cars have a amplifier that needs to be powered i can not figure out first of all where the amp is located or what wire would be the power wire for it can anyone help?

  2. looking at the speaker wires, there are only
    1)yellow/black
    2)yellow/red
    3)blue/brown
    4)blue/black

    *all negative wires are brown/orange…

    other wires are:
    large red/green (presumably constant)
    small gray/red (presumably switched)
    large brown (presumably negative)

plus other miscellaneous ones non-important to what i need them for

    please help/explain…

  4. Mike, run a primary wire to your steering column and use the violet/white wire in the ignition switch harness. This violet/white wire will provide you with a switched power source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 BMW 325i stereo installation.
