Where is the LS 430 (2005) Navigation computer located? What is the best way to remove the Radio console cover also?

I was driving my 2005 Lexus 430 yesterday & listening to a CD. All of the sudden, the cd shut off and a thumping noise began coming from the back drivers side speaker. I tried turning the radio off & on, ejecting the cd’s, turning the car off and back on. Nothing worked. In addition, the thumping continues even when the radio is completely off. It is constant. Does anyone have any ideas before I have to take it in to the dealership? It is not under warranty. Thanks, Rick Powell

Rick, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your factory amplifier may be faulty or the audio output from your radio is faulty. We suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Lexus 430 radio troubleshooting.
