My 2005 Chevrolet cavalier does not have a pink wire it has a purple wire, it also has 2 black wires a small one and thick one, What does that mean? Can someone please help me?
Jen, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. Hope this points you in the right direction. NO, u do NOT have to bother with either air bag. i just got done taking my dash part trying to fix a broken RCA cable, changing the ground and im tyring to hook up the dimmer cuz i drive a lot at night. but i completely removed the dash insert without doing anything concerning the steering wheel air bag.
I have a 2005 chevy cavalier, i am looking to replace the stereo deck. I went to best buy getting the parts i need and some one instructed me a had to do something with the air bag befor i started. Is this true and if so what has to be done.
