  1. ok guys, i have a 2005 chevrolet aveo. i am trying to install a aftermarket stereo and amp. i have it all wired and it works great. until i slide the unit into the dash and it grounds out the amp and the amp shuts down. as long as the unit isnt in the dash everything works. any suggestions?

  2. Mark, it sounds like your wire connections are getting pinched. Double check your wire connections and make sure all the connections are solid. Before you put the head unit into your dash, make sure you move the wiring out of the way so the head unit doesn’t pinch the wires. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Chevrolet Aveo radio installation.

  3. Leo, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and make sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are in working condition, your 2005 Chevrolet Aveo may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amp to output sound from your speakers. Double check that your 2005 Chevrolet Aveo amplifier turn on wire is connected. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Chevrolet Aveo radio installation.
