i have a 2005 cadillac sts the stereo and navigation system stopped working.Every once and awhile the screen will come on and says system loading other times the radio will come on when i start the car but i can not control it. i use to have a heated steering wheel this is also not working know not sure if it has anything to do with it checked all the fuses with a multimeter for continuity all appear good any ideas?
Eric, double check ALL your fuses using an Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, your 2005 Cadillac STS electrical wiring may be faulty. We suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer or mechanic and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Cadillac STS troubleshooting.
I have a 2005 Cadillac STS, and I want to install a aftermarket radio, but I don’t want to lose the functionally of the the car since the stock radio acts like a brain for the car(all the car settings run through it). Is there a way to keep the stock stereo in the car and still install a aftermarket radio?
