I am currently adding a amplifier and sub and having trouble finding where I connect the remote wire for the amp on my 2004 rx8. Have tried connecting it to the blue cable going into the Bose amp under the rear shelf but does not seem to work???
Mark, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, make sure your amplifier turn on wire its hooked up correctly. Technically you could connect your 2004 Mazda RX8 amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2004 Mazda RX8 is on and off whenever your 2004 Mazda RX8 is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Mazda RX8 amplifier install.
what’s the steering wheel control wire colors?
can i add a woofer to the 2004 mazda rx8 bose amplifier directly without extra amplifier. anyway to add a subwoofer without long wiring techniques? anyone?
I have a 2004 mazda rx8, with a stock 6cd radio. And I need to know what’s the best way to get my iPhone or iPod to work on there with changing the stock radio?
Andy, we suggest you purchase an automotive auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any Apple iPod, mp3 player or portable music player into your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the bluetooth transmitter you will need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Mazda RX8 bluetooth transmitter installation.
I’m wiring my amp and I was wondering where can I run the cable that goes from the battery to the amp? or what would be the best way going about this
Marshall, most vehicles have a factory hole with a rubber or plastic grommet at the firewall. This is usually the standard place to run a power wire through the firewall. If one of these holes are not available or not large enough, a hole will have to be drilled to accommodate your power wire. Choose something on the engine side of the firewall as reference and try to match it up on the interior side of the firewall. This will make sure you do not drill through anything important. Then drill a hole somewhere near or beside your reference point. Make sure to use a firewall grommet to prevent the power wire from chaffing on the firewall that could potentially cause a short. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Mazda RX8 amplifier installation.

Caleb, you will need an automotive aux input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any Apple iPod, portable music player or mp3 player into your factory car stereo. You can hook up your an amplifier and subwoofer to your stock stereo. You will need some aftermarket electronics to hook up a subwoofer to your 2007 Mazda RX8 factory stereo. You will need five components:
1. Car Subwoofer
2. Car Subwoofer Box to house your car subwoofer.
3. Car Audio Amplifier that matches your subwoofer power needs and ohm rating.
4. Car Amplifier Wiring Kit that can handle the power needs of your amplifier.
5. RCA Line Out Converter to feed an audio signal from your factory radio to your aftermarket amplifier.
First run all your amplifier power from your car battery to where you plan on mounting your amplifier. Next, run your ground wire from your grounding point to your amplifier. Wire up the RCA Line Out Converter to the rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. Next, connect one end of your RCA jacks to the Line Out Converter and the other end of the RCA jacks to your amplifier. This will provide an audio signal to your after market amp. Lastly, connect your subwoofer to your after market amplifier using the speaker wire in the amplifier wiring kit. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Mazda RX8 amplifier installation.
