  1. Timothy, we suggest you install a car auxiliary input adapter. This aux input adapter will allow you to input any portable music player, mp3 player, Apple iPod or Apple iPhone into your factory stereo. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory radio directly rather than over the air. Here is the adapter you will need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Chrysler Sebring aux input adapter install.

  2. Shawn, yes you can hook up your an amplifier and subwoofer to your stock stereo. You will need some aftermarket electronics to hook up a subwoofer to your 2004 Chrysler Sebring factory stereo. You will need five components:

    1. Car Subwoofer
    2. Car Subwoofer Box to house your car subwoofer.
    3. Car Audio Amplifier that matches your subwoofer power needs and ohm rating.
    4. Car Amplifier Wiring Kit that can handle the power needs of your amplifier.
    5. RCA Line Out Converter to feed an audio signal from your factory radio to your aftermarket amplifier.

First run all your amplifier power from your car battery to where you plan on mounting your amplifier. Next, run your ground wire from your grounding point to your amplifier. Wire up the RCA Line Out Converter to the rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. Next, connect one end of your RCA jacks to the Line Out Converter and the other end of the RCA jacks to your amplifier. This will provide an audio signal to your after market amp. Lastly, connect your subwoofer to your after market amplifier using the speaker wire in the amplifier wiring kit. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Chrysler Sebring amplifier and subwoofer installation.

  3. hey i was wondering if there is a way to wire an amp for my subs to the 2004 Chrysler Sebring factory radio and if so what would be the best way to go about it?

  4. Josh, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 2004 Chrysler Sebring may have a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. We currently do not have any information on the 2004 Chrysler Sebring amplifier turn-on wire but hopefully someone from our Modified Life community would be able to chime in and help you out.

  5. I have a 2004 Chrysler sebring limited coupe. The problem is no sound from the stereo. The radio powers on and everything works. I have even tried the radio in another car with the same wire harness and it works just fine in other cars. When I put the factory stereo back into the car everything works, even sound. Please help

  6. Thanks. You guys are awesome. I was installing a aux port interface in my chrysler sebring- plugged right in- but I needed to know one thing: where is a constant 12 volt source? You guys nailed it for me. Thanks again. Jerry
