  1. Michael, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, make sure your 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue amplifier turn-on wire is wired correctly. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Chrysler Pacifica stereo installation.

  2. Hello fellows and ladies, this is a long question bit im sure it as short answer. My wife order a new aftermarket 1 din style with 7 inch screen for my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Now we have everything removed and wire harness installed. now radio powered up fine but we have no sound. i also realized a plug from the 6 disc changer below and now i have no where to plug. please forgive spelling and shoot me a easy fix. thanks.

  3. Matt, your 2004 Chrysler Pacifica has a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. Double check that your 2004 Chrysler Pacifica amp turn on wire is connected. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Chrysler Pacifica stereo installation.

  4. Stewart, I’m trying took hook up a Sony also with the Scosche connector. how did you run your wires? i get power but no sound.

  5. installing sony head unit into my 2004 chrysler pacifica using scosche car stereo connector. the vehicle side of the plug only has front speaker + and – ? new unit works but no fader? what did i miss? anyone?

  6. I have a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Touring, I believe I have the stock Infinity amp with stock cd/tape deck radio. Will putting in a aftermarket radio connected to the factory amp give me a better(clearer at high volumes) sound through my factory speakers?

  7. Sam, after market car subwoofer amplifiers have built-in crossovers that only allow the low end frequencies to play through your subwoofer. Just make sure you purchase a Mono D Amplifiier for your subwoofer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier installation.

  8. if i tap onto the rear speakers to get an audio source for my subwoofer wont i have music coming through the sub as well as bass or does the line out converter disable the music??

  9. Sam, no the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica will not have enough power to run a 1200 watt aftermarket subwoofer. You will need five components:

    1. Car Subwoofer
    2. Car Subwoofer Box to house your car subwoofer.
    3. Car Audio Amplifier that matches your subwoofer power needs and ohm rating.
    4. Car Amplifier Wiring Kit that can handle the power needs of your amplifier.
    5. RCA Line Out Converter to feed an audio signal from your factory radio to your aftermarket amplifier.

First run all your amplifier power from your car battery to where you plan on mounting your amplifier. Next, run your ground wire from your grounding point to your amplifier. Wire up the RCA Line Out Converter to the rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. Next, connect one end of your RCA jacks to the Line Out Converter and the other end of the RCA jacks to your amplifier. This will provide an audio signal to your after market amp. Lastly, connect your subwoofer to your after market amplifier using the speaker wire in the amplifier wiring kit. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Chrysler Pacifica amplifier and subwoofer installation.

  10. will the factory amp in my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica have enough juice to power a 1200 watt aftermarket subwoofer??

  11. I have the factory radio and factory amp. I dont have no sound output on sub 1 and sub 2 wires on the factory amp but all other speaker wires have sound. Is there some kind of menu to turn on subs?

  12. Alec, you don’t necessarily have to get an aftermarket radio. It’ll be easier to just add an amplifier and subwoofer to your 2004 Chrysler Pacifica audio system rather than redo all the wiring. Most late model vehicles do not have rca outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. You must run the power to the battery. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your radio install.

  13. I have an 04 pacifica and would like to add subs and possibly replace tweeters…it has the upgraded stereo (infinity whatnot). My question is this: how many watts does the stock head unit put out? Are there more sub-outs available? Taking those into consideration, should I get an aftermarket head unit? Thanks.

  14. Ejc13, if your car has a factory installed subwoofer, tap the subwoofer wire above. If your car doesn’t have a factory subwoofer installed, tap your rear speaker wires for your output converter. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  15. I am attempting to put an amplifier and subwoofer in my 04 Pacifica but keep my factory radio installed so I have to use a output converter to change the rca wire to speaker wire. I have just the basic model but its equiped with the 6 disc dvd player, does anyone have any pointers on which wires to tap into. Oh and its not pre amped Thanx!
