was wondering if this stock unit had the red and white rca cables to hook up a pair of subs on the back of it
Lee, most factory radios do not have the rca outputs for easy hookup. You would have to get an amplifier that accepts audio signal inputs directly or you would have to purchase a line out converter. This device takes two speaker wires and converts them to RCA outputs so you can provide an audio signal to your amp. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:
Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter
If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck.
My 2003 Jeep Cherokee radio/cd player works, but the lighted display went out along with the clock. No other dashboard light issues – brightness ok. Can this be fixed or does entire radio need to be replaced just for this problem?
Phil, unfortunately it sounds like the display light inside your 2003 Jeep Cherokee stereo is faulty. The only way to repair the light is to take your radio to an authorized repair facility. It would be more cost effective to replace the 2003 Jeep Cherokee factory radio with an aftermarket car radio. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2003 Jeep Cherokee stereo replacement.
