Zach, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are in working order, your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado may have a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amp trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amp to output audio from your car speakers. Double check that your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado amplifier turn on wire is connected. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado stereo installation.

  2. I have a 2003 chevrolet silverado with bose system, I wanted to install a new radio due to engine whine and the driver’s side speakers not working. When I replaced the radio with an alpine radio I still have no sound in those speakers. Any ideas?

Jaime, run a primary wire from the back of your radio to your steering column and use the orange wire in the ignition switch harness. This orange wire will provide a switched power source for your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stereo. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stereo installation.
