my radio and cd will come on but there is no sound.
Roy, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 2003 Cadillac CTS may have a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. We currently do not have any information on the 2003 Cadillac CTS amplifier turn-on wire but hopefully someone from our knowledgeable Modified Life community would be able to chime in and help you out.
I’m trying to hook up a amp but there are no places to hook up the 2003 Cadillac CTS turn on wire.
What colors is the remote turn on wire coming off the stock amp in my 2003 cadillac cts?
Big C, the 2003 Cadillac CTS remote turn on wire is the purple wire in the factory radio wiring harness. Hope this helps!
Kyle, technically you could connect your 2003 Cadillac CTS amp remote wire to the stereo switched 12v+ wire. That way your amp is on whenever your 2003 Cadillac CTS is on and off whenever your 2003 Cadillac CTS is off. Be sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amp remote wire.
