can i use my stock radio to connect an amp and subs
Armando, yes you can hook up an amp and subs but it will take a little mobile installation experience. To use your stock radio you will require a line out converter. This device takes two speaker wires and converts them to RCA outputs so you can provide an audio signal to your amp. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:
Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter
If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck.
how can i unlock my car radio and find the code to a volkswagon jetta 2002
Walter, radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Volkswagen dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck.
2002 Volkswagen Jetta radio will not play . Can get power, because the readout show FM 1 88.3 preset 1 but no sound only a sound coming from the speakers when turned on. Will not go in to safe mode. Have tried removing and replacing fuse # 42 for the radio and disconnecting battery cable. Nothing seems to work. Could it be a microprosessor problem. Volkswagen and Clarion say they haven’t heard of any problems.
I’m looking to buy new speakers to replace the four 6.5” speakers in the doors. I was wondering what impedance rating I should have on the new speakers, is 4 ohms okay? I don’t want to fry the crossover/amp. Thanks!
