  1. Georganna, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, double check your wire connections. If you still cant find the problem, we suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Pontiac Sunfire radio troubleshooting.

  2. i tried to install an aftermarket stereo in my 2002 pontiac sunfire and i have no power even used a wire harness but have nothing

  3. Is there a adaptor for the original 2002 Pontiac sunfire radio wiring harness to a pioneer cd mp3 USB cd deck ?? If so do you know what it’s called ??

  4. I just bought new 6×9 3-way JVC speakers to replace the stock, blown rear speakers in my Sunfire. After working my way down to the speakers and getting them out, I found little sort-of adapters that each speaker plugged into, seperating into four seperate wires. I clipped off the adapter and connected two of the wires to my new speakers, testing various pairs to see which put out the best sound. I found that one pair was more low sound, another was more high sound, and two were about the same. After putting everything back together, I discovered that my front speakers are putting out more bass than the back are, and the back are significantly quieter than the front. Obviously those two wires I left disconnected on each speaker are important, but I’m at a standstill as to how I should fix the problem. Did I buy the wrong type of speakers? Does the fact that the car has a Monsoon system in it help at all?

  5. Dane, installing a radio does require some wiring knowledge. If you’ve never done any mobile installations before, we suggest you leave it to the experts. Even novice installers can cause shorts or blow fuses that will cause more problems or even damage to your vehicle. If you want to save money, shop around for a good installer. When you get a good quote, purchase your radio online (car stereos are usually more expensive at best buy or an installation shop than purchasing it online) and have them put it in. Hope this helps. Good luck with your car radio installation.

  6. Sorry for the questions, but I am a complete noob at installing car stereos. I want to be able to install a new stereo in my 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, but don’t want to pay the $400 quoted Best Buy price. Is it hard to do yourself? What kind of materials would I need and is there any place that gives step by step instructions?

  7. Mike, use the orange wire in the ignition switch harness located in the steering column. Hope this helps. Good luck.
