I want to add an aftermarket mp3 attachment to my 2002 LS 430 stereo system. However, I have the Navigation package. The dealer told me that there is “no way” to add an adaptor to play mp3’s on my stero. I’ve looked at Best Buy and other stores and none of them have products that include the an option for the 2002 LS 430 with Nav. Do you know of any products that can be used– even if it means disconnecting the tape player wires (which I never use) and using that input for an mp3 player???

Ben, most late model vehicles do not have rca inputs to feed an mp3 audio signal to your factory stereo. You would have to install bluetooth transmitter. A bluetooth transmitter will allow you to connect any bluetooth device to your factory radio. Here is the adapter you will need:

I have a 2002 Lexus LS430 with Nav and Mark Levinson sound system. I want to be able to hook my Motorola Droid (1st generation) phone into the system so I can hear my calls over the sound system and also play music from my phone over the sound system. My 2006 Toyota 4-Runner has an aux port I can do this with but this car does not have the aux port.
