I have tried to install an aftermarket radio in my daughters 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I get power to the radio, but no sound. I am using a wiring harness adapter from Walmart and the antenna adapter as well. If I put the same radio in my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan it works perfectly. The old radio in the Jeep works so I know the system in the Jeep is good. Any idea’s why the sound would not be working on the new radio or is there something else to check? Thanks in advance.

Douglas, your 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier. Unfortunately, we do not have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hi, I have a 2002 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. I put in a cd player along with one 15inch sub and a small amp. Everything was fine and than all of a sudden something happened and it sounds like crap. You can barely hear it and it seems as tho the only sound is coming from the sub in back. Any ideas?? I have tried everything! Its driving me nuts. Thanks, Jessica.
