  1. Nikkie, double check ALL your fuses using an Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, your 2002 Dodge Durango factory amplifier may be faulty. We suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Dodge Durango radio troubleshooting.

  2. I have a 2002 Dodge Durango infinity system w/ JVC radio installled when I bought it! Now 3 months later none of the speakers work but the one in the passenger door! How do I find the open so I can have sound in my truck again?

  3. I have a 2002 Dodge Durango R/T. It has an infinity stereo and I can’t find the right harness for it, any suggestions? anyone?

  4. Hi my name is Nick, and for the longest time of having my 2002 Durango the front speakers will cut out in several case’s, one when volume is to high, when the driver side door is opened, it will start to work if i smack the door. i have taken off both doors and even interior dashboard and looked for fray’s i have found none. i tested the speaker to see if it was blown by leaving the door panel off and still playing the radio, i found that when i screwed in the screws for the speaker on driver side i could see little sparks and when i would then back off the screw and loosen it, that speaker and the passenger side speaker would come on. When one cuts the other does too, so I’m wondering if anyone has any idea’s i am not a novice with vehicles nor stereo installation, and this has got me stumped. Any suggestions and idea’s would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

  5. I have a 2002 Durango with original stereo. Radio lights up, CD palys no sound. Is there a separate radio amp or does the stereo need to be replaced?

  6. Jay-(Dec 6, 09)- The radio amp is simply inside the radio itself… the outgoing current has been filtered by the amplifier already. If your not tickled with the audio quality as i was,… then you can simply take all Left & Right- Front & Rear speaker wires, splice them into longer (18gauge) wires and run them to your OWN amplifier to further increase quality, although if you want to be able to still “fade” and “balance” your sound you’ll have to purchase atleast a 4 channel amp ( a channel is a seperate area meant for it and it only, 4 ch- distrubutes 1/4 wattage to each of 4 items you have ran off of it. example: 2 speakers (+) & (-), 1channel will send a current to one (+)&(-), the other channel to the other speaker, each having equal 1/2 % wattage expectation, OR, put them both on one channel (disables speaker fade and balance), and this sends 100% to both (keep amp turned down if a powerful one, possibility of blowing speakers or overheating the amp)

  7. Nick-(March 7, 09)- ’02 Durango’s stock does not come with ipod feature you may be able to purchase some sort of adaptor harness for it IDK doubt it though… Aftermarket head units (MOST) have a place for them in the back but requires an adaptor that attatches the audio cord to it, (usually an iPod female plug platform- with a wire to attatch to the head unit. example:rat with a tail- rat being the female platform,.. tail being the wire).

  8. Jon, after making the connections above, try using the left over green wire and hook up your amp trigger wire to it. This wire should turn on your factory amp to produce sound. Hope this helps. Good luck.
