  1. Alan, double check ALL your fuses using a Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, we suggest you take your car to an experienced mechanic and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Dodge Caravan radio troubleshooting.

  2. Hi i have a 2002 caravan sport there is no power to my rear liftgate actuater when i press the unlock on my remote the lights flash but it wont unlock. i tested actuater and is working properly checked wiring and no power only to the fitgate all other locks working fine ???

  3. Roxie, if your 2002 Dodge Caravan is locking you in when you turn the ignition off, it sounds like your alarm is programmed incorrectly. Go to your Dodge dealer or an experienced alarm installer and have them change the alarm programming to stop automatically locking when the ignition is turned off. As far as your vehicle not starting when your 2002 Dodge Caravan is parked, it could be any number of things so it would be hard for us to pin point the problem. What we can tell you are the basic components you should check. Check the functionality of your alternator, that your battery is still able to hold a charge, the functionality of your starter, the functionality of your ignition system and spark plugs. Hope this helps. Good luck with troubleshooting your 2002 Dodge Caravan.

  4. I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan Sport. For some time now the factory alarm system has not been working properly. Everytime I drive my van and then park it and turn off the ignition the alarm system immediately locks me in the van. I have to press the alarm unlock button to get out of the van. The alarm system is not suppose to go off while I am in the van. How can this be fixed?

Also, now I have a problem where the Van is not wanting to start. The engine will turn slowly but normally will die out, or sometimes it will start. Then while driving it’s fine. Then when I park it and come back to my vehicle it has problems starting again. Once it didn’t start anymore. But when I took it to the dealer they said they got it to start. but now it’s still having problems starting. I took it to another mechanic who said it was a computer problem and that the dealer needed to connect it to the scanner and reset it. But the dealer said they did this and could not find a problem. They replaced the alternator but the van still does the same thing.

Do you think it is a faulty alarm system causing the van to turn but have problems starting? Some type of computer issue (which the dealer says they cannot find). They said replace spark plugs, wires, and clean fuel injectors. But something tells me if they replace all this it still may not fix the problem.
