  1. Marcus, it sounds like your 2000 Mazda MPV alarm system is going off every time you try to start your car. Disable or disarm your car alarm before you try to start your 2000 Mazda MPV and you should be fine. If you can’t disable or disarm your car alarm, our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to disable your car alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to do. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2000 Mazda MPV car alarm troubleshooting.

  2. Hi, i just had an alternator put on my 2000 Mazda MPV. Now when i try to start it the car horn alarms along with my head light flashing. what can this be and how can i get the car to start?

  3. Eddie, try inserting the key into the driver door key hole and unlocking the car manually. Some late model vehicles have the alarm system wired to the door lock itself. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Mazda MPV troubleshooting.

  4. my wife locked her 2004 mazda mpv maually and when she opened it with the remote later, a key icon displayed on dashboard and engine wont start. How do we disable the security? we have already tried removing the battery head but that did’t work. any sugestions?

  5. Julian, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to remove the alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to remove. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  6. I have a 2000 mpv, and whenever I lock the car, the alarm instantly goes off, even with all the doors completely closed. This is the stock alarm system. Anybody know how to remove the alarm, which wires to cut, or anything like that?

  7. Joe, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to remove the alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to remove and how to return your car back to stock. 8. My girlfriend was driving on the expressway and the engine cut out on her 2001 Mazda MPV van. Now when you put the key in and turn half way the lights flash and the horn honks, about 6 times. It will not start. I think the alarm is the problem but it will not disable. We did not even know the thing had an alarm until it was giving up problems.

I think we need a bypass. I would like conformation before I buy this if possible. I would also like to know where to get this, and directions on how to install, to make sure I understand how this works. I would also like the wiring diagram. I am ok at fixing cars but have never messed with alarms. Can someone point me in the right direction.
    Thanks,
    Joe
