Im trying to look for a remote switch to install an amp in my car, but i would like to keep the factory stcok radio in there… wat cable/wire can i use as a remote switch for the amp?
David, technically you could connect your 2001 Lincoln LS amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2001 Lincoln LS is on and off whenever your 2001 Lincoln LS is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier install.
Does anyone know wether or not There is a fuse for the rear speakers in the 2001 lincoln ls, If so what fuse number is it?
Bought a Lincoln Ls stereo seems to be wired correctly, But it cuts out when turned up at a med. or high level. Was just wondering if the Amp trigger wire should be hooked up etc etc. Im lost. I havent checked the speakers. Im thinking the factory speaker system should be able to handle just a head unit/(No Amps)… Someone Please help.
Recently, the radio control buttons which surround the radio display “1070 AM” for example, no longer illuminate. This includes the seek/scan and preset radio buttons 1 through 6. All remaining lamps that dim from the master dimmer switch next to the head lamp switch dim and brighten normally.
Not sure, is there a lamp or fiber optics that can be repaired/replaced or is this a circuit board that has a broken path?
A little extra:
Front speaker size: 6×8
Front speaker location: Front Door
Rear speaker size: 6×8
Rear speaker location: Rear Door

Does the 6 cd changer/radio for the 2001 lincoln ls have an aux output? I want to be able to hook up a iphone to play music through it. Thanks.
Herb, we suggest you purchase an automotive auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any Apple iPod, mp3 player or portable music player into your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the bluetooth transmitter you will need:
