		<description>Russel, it would be hard to tell if the security system in your 2000 Oldsmobile Alero is factory installed or aftermarket. Our advice would be to take your car to the dealer or an experienced alarm installer and have them remove the system or install a new system. Hope this helps. Good luck.</description>

		<description>I have repeated problems with the security system of my 2000 Olds Alero.  At least 5 times per week my &#039;SECURITY&#039; light will come on.  I then have to wait 10 minutes for it to reset before I can re-start.  My wife and 10 month old baby were stuck in 25 degree weather yesterday morning for 30 minutes waiting 3 consecutive times for the security system to reset before starting.  Is there a simple way to dis-connect or disable the security feature of this Alero?</description>
