what wire do i tap into to power my aftermarket amp with the remote wire?

  • Reply ModifiedLife April 13, 2010 at 12:55 pm

Kwame, technically you could connect your 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse is on and off whenever your 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier install.

After the battery in my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse died the radio won’t come on. The display screen on the dash has an orange light lit up but it doesn’t show any numbers. Anyone know what is going on with it, I appreciate any help!?! THANKS

tanya, that happens anytime you disconnect the battery to the stereo. its to prevent theft. all you need is to take out the radio, write down the serial number (should be on the top of the radio) and call your local Mitsubishi dealer and they should be able to give you the code to get it working again.
