I just installed a new battery and the clock still works but the radio portion of the display is inop. I dont know if i did something wrong or the system is defective. So if there is a solution to this problem please advise me of anything that can help me.
Wendell, it sounds like you blew out a fuse or two. Double check ALL your fuses and you will probably find a blown fuse somewhere. Sometimes when you short out your radio fuse, other fuses may also blow out. Hope this helps. Good luck with your troubleshooting.

My radio only works at certain speeds. Does anyone know what the problem is or where the factory amp is located?
Are there fuses on the rear speakers of a 2001 bmw 540i? Only the tweeters are working on my car…. I have checked all the fuses, reseated them, pulled the radio, pulled the amp. Speakers are my last resort before I give in and take it in. anyone know?
